March 21, 7-10pm – The Breakfast Club, Fatback Soul Shack, Christiansburg, VA. The band returns with an all-acoustic set of great rock tunes. CANCELLED due to public health concerns.

April 24, 6:30-7pm, 102.5 FM, Roanoke, VA. I’ll be appearing in Geoff White’s Music Junction to talk music during a pandemic and also to play some of my tunes.

John Hildreth is a guitarist and multi-instrumentalist based in southwest Virginia. His live performances feature visually dynamic acoustic guitar techniques as well storytelling and genre-bending arrangements. He utilizes a percussive, finger-style approach to the guitar, and his repertoire features original instrumental and vocal tunes, as well as a cross-work of covers spanning rock, Americana, world, jazz, and classical. His inspired style evokes the late, great Michael Hedges, as well as contemporary artists such as Kaki King, Don Ross, Andrew York and Andy McKee.

John is available for festivals, house concerts, parties, community events, club gigs, coffee shops, and the like. Please contact hildreth.john@gmail.com for booking information.

In the band setting, John plays both electric and acoustic guitar as well as mandolin, banjo, synthesizer, piano, and melodica. He can be seen performing with The Breakfast Club, Dot Dot Dash, Two-Penny OperaThe Completely Smashed Irish Band, Taco Cat and Music In Three Dimensions in and around Virginia’s New River Valley.
